Super Sunday, 26th of September 2021, was the penultimate day of the Twizza Netball Club Championships at the Heartfelt Arena in Pretoria. Four days of exceptional netball and the tournament has been going on since May. It all began being played in the 52 districts that Netball South Africa has.
The districts had winners that went onto play in the provincial tournament and the winners played at the provinces in the national final. The two teams of males and females represented all nine provinces.
The first semi-final match was played by the Brothers from Gauteng and University of Western Cape. The Brothers won the first semi-final match by 33-16 and the Gentleman from KZN won the second semi-final match by 27-22 and secured their final match with Brothers later on.
On the ladies side, in the semi-final matches were between NWU Eagles and Pumas from KZN and Tuks against Matat. The Pumas of KZN won by 23-22 who scored a spot in the final match, meanwhile Tuks won against Matat 21-18. Consistency helps build momentum and the two teams met at the Males final match, the Gauteng outfit, the Brothers who played against Ocean Predators. Brothers won the final match and received a gold medal against Ocean Predators. The Rising Stars won medal against UWC 42 – 29.
Winning the final semis secured Tuks and Pumas and bronze medal was contested by NWU Eagles who scored their podium and won 36 – 24. Tuks is always precise and led from their first match as early as the first minute and ending the match in the Tshwane outfit winning 45 – 21 and a gold medal.
